Info Sent to Newsletter, Potential for Link

Hi again--

First, the Communications Committee (aka the newsletter) has asked me to send them a membership update for them to include in the Jun 15th edition. It should be similar to what I've posted here: 7 new members have joined, and they have received their much coveted THANK YOU letter from us!

Secondly, I'm intending to link to this blog off the two Membership pages off the PHNA Web site. That should happen in the next couple of days.


File Under Marketing and Promotion

In unrelated news, I'm hoping to propose the Association becomes involved in the Adopt-A-Street program. I want us to adopt continous blocks of Lexington Avenue. The only requirement is for us to keep our adopted sections clean. The benefits of the street adoption are three-fold:

1. Because they install a sign reading, "This section of Lexington Avenue adopted by the Pendelton Heights Neigbhorhood Association" (or words to that affect), it will present PH to strangers on foot and in passing vehicles as a neighborhood that cares

2. Since the new banners are not up yet, this sign will help people locate where they are (oddly, many folks who drive through, and even those who live here don't know it's called PH)

3. We'll have a clean street!

I hope it works out.

Membership Updates

Hi.

We have eight new members!

The slips we put into the previous newsletters must have inspired people to join, since most filled the forms out and sent them in. Great job!

And, we sent out our first letter. These lucky eight will each get their own personal Thank You letter from the Membership Committee.

It is my understanding that these letters are highly collectible and valuable.

Cough up $20 today.

This is the first entry of an ongoing blog by the Membership Committee of the Pendleton Heights Neighborhood Association, in Kansas City, Missouri. Soon, the Association's other committees will have their own blogs, and we will link to them once they are established.

This blog will list Membership Committee information, udpate our progress and provide meeting information.
